Anne-Marie Boylan

Departmental Lecturer & Senior Research Fellow NIHR CLAHRC Oxford

  • Module Coordinator, Qualitative Research Methods (MSc in Evidence Based Health Care)

I currently hold a fellowship funded by the NIHR Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (CLAHRC) Oxford, to explore the use of online patient feedback in influencing UK Health Policy, and service delivery and improvement.

My previous research has included several in-depth qualitative explorations of aspects of participation in medical research, including Patient and Public Involvement from contributors' and researchers' perspectives; donations to the biobank; undergoing heart valve screening. I have also conducted research on experiences of life-changing injuries, family perspectives on autism, and how patients and doctors share decisions.

teaching and supervision

I coordinate the module on Qualitative Research Methods for the MSc in Evidence Based Health Care, and supervise MSc and DPhil students.
