With this study, we want to find out what people think and feel when they weigh themselves.
Are you trying to lose more than 5lbs (2.25 kg) of weight? Then participate in our study!
Whether you feel anxious about weighing yourself, are sceptical about its usefulness or think it might be a helpful strategy to control your weight – we want to hear from you.
We will use our results to help people become friends with their scales.
- Attend two sessions at the University of Oxford (first session 45 minutes, second session 30 minutes duration).
- Weigh yourself once a day for eight weeks and record your thoughts and feelings.
- We will lend you scales for the time of the study.
- You will be compensated for your time.
Your information will be kept securely by the NIHR Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (CLAHRC) Oxford and the University of Oxford's Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences.
